Lead UX Designer

ADP

You’ve probably heard of ADP. You might even notice their logo on your paycheck. The company’s been around since the 1950s and has been a staple in the global economy ever since.

I joined ADP in 2022 seeking an opportunity to lead the modernization of their service technology products. Designing internal tools used daily by over 60,000 service representatives, the role enables me to simplify the people’s workdays at a massive scale.

March 2022 – Present

Design leadership in a large organization.

As a Lead UX Designer in a sprawling team, my day-to-day activities vary broadly. At a high-level, I like to say that I’m the one who makes sure we’re solving problems with our users’ needs in mind.

More specifically, I…

  • Collaborate across teams, facilitating the right connections and discussions.
  • Lead meetings, demos, and design-thinking exercises.
  • Deep-dive into research to help teams understand problem spaces.
  • Explore and pitch ideas for the product roadmap.
  • Educate team members how to leverage new tools and processes.
  • Mentor and coach other designers (and sometimes engineers).
  • Demonstrate and quantify the value of “good UX” to leadership.
  • Get my hands dirty with creating user flows, service maps, wireframes, mockups, and other deliverables.
